Terry Clark Weddings FAQ

"What exactly is photojournalistic wedding coverage?"

Photojournalistic coverage captures the real, spontaneous moments of your day in an artistic manner with the purpose of telling a story and creating a photo essay. It’s not just a bunch of random candid snaps. A picture story has a beginning, middle and an end.

"Do you photograph family and groups pictures, too?"

Yes. Every wedding needs certain group pictures for the family history. I do a group and portrait session at every wedding. I do these with speed and artistic flare. Rarely do my group sessions last more than 15 to 20 minutes.

"Will you bring a second photographer?"

Generally I work alone. With more than 30 years experience covering major news and sports events all over the country I know how to position myself for maximum effectiveness when photographing your day.

I do on occassion use an assistant who helps with equipment and lighting, as necessary. This person is not a true second shooter, but may work a second angle during the ceremony, under my direction.

I also will, at times, set up a remote camera to photograph at a different angle, usually a balcony. We can discuss this during the wedding consultation.

If you have more than 250 guests you may want to consider team coverage. I’ve used as many as two other qualified professional photographers beside myself when covering large weddings. We can discuss this option during a wedding consultation.

"What size wedding albums do you offer?"

My standard size wedding album is 10x10, however, upon request I will custom design anything you wish – 12x12, 11x14, whatever. The number of pages is also up to you.

When designing a wedding album I tell people it’s all about the love story. Sometimes the story can be told simply and concisely in a about 24 pages, other times it requires more. It depends on your wedding.

"Do we have to commit to a wedding album when we sign our contract?"

No, you do not, but you may if you wish. It’s up to you. New album companies spring up all the time. I work very hard to keep current of the trends in the industry and I am constantly searching for what’s new and what’s hot. If I’m satisfied with their quality and their product is not a duplicate of what I already carry I’ll offer it to my clients. Currently I work with two album companies with a third and fourth possibly in the near future.

"Will we receive the 'digital negatives' and can we print from them?"

Depending on the coverage plan, digital negatives are either included or can be purchased separately.
